The wait is short for Gravity

St.Louis dance company will entertain and teach in this weekend’s anticipated performance: Gravity.

Dancers of the dance company, Beyond Measure Dance Theatre, have been practicing nonstop to give St.Louisans their money’s worth in this weekend’s show called Gravity.  Gravity will be a dance production centered around the positive & negative complexities of gravity conveyed through art rooted in African dance and folklore, says Director & Founder of Beyond Measure Dance Theater, Alicia Sunshine Gbaho.

Gravity will stir an array of emotions by way of song, dance, poetry and storytelling.   “The roots of African dance culture run deep.”  Says Alicia Gbaho.  “In Gravity we will tell stories that relate to all humans through the lens of our people around the world.”

With a cast of experienced and emerging dancers, Alicia Gbaho says spectators will not be disappointed.  “Gravity will have something for everyone.  Viewers will share in eclectic yet personal stories of gravity on their lives.  And will be left inspired and ready to explore more of the roots of music and dance that affect our lives.”
