New Downtown Lounge Gets You in the Mood.
Owners use dress code, decor, quick food, and music to create a sophisticated nightlife downtown.
After months of making renovations to its 20th & Locust location, MOOD opened its doors early this year, and since opening has quickly become a fan favorite for St. Louis’ young and beautiful socialite, scenesters.
All is going as planned. The lounge is living up to the owner’s expectations.
“We created MOOD seeking to bring a sophisticated, upscale nightlife to St Louis,” says Jamila Boone, co-owner of MOOD – Dessert Bar & Lounge. “We chose the location because it is safe. It’s near a police substation. Then we developed a guest-selection process to help ensure a pleasant atmosphere for our guests at MOOD,” says Boone.
MOOD lounge prides itself in its strict dress code. Athletic gear is not allowed. Also, MOOD managers can reject guests based on unacceptable style or just someone having a bad vibe alone. Owners say patrons appreciate this vetting process. They use discretion without causing a scene.
MOOD offers valet parking, dessert infused cocktails, reminiscing music, a quality-controlled environment, small food bites, delectable desserts, and a calming happy hour. So the next time you’re thinking of relaxing, think of visiting MOOD. Its ambiance may just boost yours.
